At our company headquarters in Landscheide, not far from Hamburg, one thing is clear: wood is very much at home here. And it’s been that way since 1889. In the time between then and now, we’ve learnt all there is to know about wood and this expertise has been passed down through the generations. Over the years, we’ve built up a wealth of experience that enables us to now develop solutions that address even the most challenging of requirements. We have never been as excited about this unique material and all of its impressive properties as we are right now. The best thing is that as technologies and processes evolve we can get even more out of these qualities.

In our modern production halls, we create customised solutions just for your property. And you can be sure that we will always follow the very latest standards. Technical joining with speed and precision guaranteed.

Since we commissioned our fully automated joinery machine back in 2007, we’ve had so many more options open to us when it comes to the production of wood elements. Employees in our planning department send the dimensions required directly to this computerised system, which then takes care of all of the processing with precision down to the millimetre and absolutely no risk of chipping. There is even an additional inclination axis, allowing for a wide range of special machining options.

We specialise in the production of glued laminated timber. Our family-run company has been certified to bond wide-span supports since 1966 – so we have had plenty of time to perfect our craft. News of our special talent has even crossed borders, with our glued laminated timber having been available on the market in Denmark since 2003, in Scotland since 2008 and in England since 2011.

Over the years, our glued laminated timber has grown nicely in size, too, and we are now in a position to produce supporting structures with impressive dimensions. The wide spans and outstanding range of forms are ideal for bright, open architecture on a large scale. We can use our fully automated pressing jig to create hugely varied forms with speed and efficiency. What this means for you is that you are free to think big. We will bring your ideas to life and make sure they have the load-bearing capacity they need. 

The production of glued laminated timber.

By processing wood and turning it into glued laminated timber, we make it that bit better. We dry the boards and carefully get rid of any naturally occurring imperfections in the wood. The ends of the boards, which are now different lengths, are finger jointed and glued together. This creates slats of any length, which are then coated with glue and layered up before being pressed to form custom-fit and dimensionally stable beams. Once the glue is dry, the structural elements are planed on all sides and treated as required.

This is assembly-ready prefabrication – a huge step forwards, away from the traditional methods and towards an innovative wood construction system.

With our in-house production line for large-scale structural elements, it is no problem for us to create wood construction system walls that are the height of an entire storey. This allows us to really cut down on the overall time spent on construction whilst maintaining the same high levels of quality. Plus, we can up our game in terms of the functionality and customisation options we have on offer. The components we create boast load-bearing, insulating and sealing properties. We prefabricate them with windows and other household elements and can also add cladding to the interior and exterior walls as required.
